Medical Grants for Children Are Available; Apply Today
We hope you can air this important radio public service announcement to let your listeners know that medical grants are available to help families pay for their child’s medical expenses that are not covered, or not fully covered, by their commercial health insurance plan.
The UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) is seeking grant applications from families in the U.S. and are encouraging families to apply this month.
Since 2005, the foundation has given more than 34,000 child medical grants valued at approximately $70 million to children and their families across the U.S. and is looking to help more families before the end of the year.
Parents and legal guardians can now apply today for a grant of up to $5,000 at UHCCF.org. Grants can help pay for physical, occupational, and speech-therapy as well as counseling, surgeries, prescriptions, hearing-aids, wheelchairs, and more. To be eligible for a grant, a child must be 16 or younger. Also, families must meet economic-guidelines and have commercial health insurance. However, you don’t need to have insurance through UnitedHealthcare to be eligible.
Here is a 30 second link you can add to your rotation. The public service announcement is evergreen and can be aired through 2024.
