PROTECTING YOUR CAR AMIDST CONTINUED AUTO THEFTS NATIONWIDE
Vehicle thefts are increasing at an alarming rate in the United States. Every 36 seconds another vehicle is stolen, and the National Insurance Crime Bureau needs your help in distributing these public service announcements to help slow and reverse this disturbing theft trend.
The National Insurance Crime Bureau is the nation’s leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to fighting vehicle theft and insurance fraud, and we’ve been doing this for more than a century.
We are asking for your help in informing your audience about the significant auto theft trends across the nation. These 30 and 15-second PSAs, available in English and Spanish for both television and radio, are intended to raise awareness and inform vehicle owners how best to keep from becoming a victim of vehicle theft.
Data analyzed by the NICB shows that thefts increased to more than 873,000 in 2020 and are expected to exceed 900,000 thefts in 2021 – a theft total not seen by the NICB since 2008 when more than 958,000 vehicle thefts were recorded.
We trust you will find these beneficial for your audience and air them as time permits.
