PSAs for Parents to Have a āSuperhero Momentā
Getting caught up on all your childās immunizations is one of the most powerful things you can do as a parent. In fact, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), itās a āsuperhero moment.ā In this PSA, the AAP portrays parents who get their children caught up on their vaccines as superheroes as they transform through animation.
The AAP created the PSA in response to a troubling trend that began early in the pandemic: routine childhood dropped. While a CDC report shows there was a small rebound last summer, there is still a lag in kids getting immunized against contagious, preventable illnesses like measles, mumps and polio.
The AAP wants parents to know itās important ā and safe ā to visit the pediatrician now to get kids all the vaccines they need to stay healthy. Please help us encourage parents to get their children caught up on vaccines by airing this PSA.
Thank you for helping us share this message to improve the health of all children.
